The Brief
Primer is a growing network of K-8 Microschools reimagining education. They leverage a hybrid digital/in-person learning model that allows children to learn at their own pace as well as access teachers who are not located at their specific school. Working as the product design partner to Primer’s engineering team, I supported the design of student and teacher dashboards, a video communication platform, and ongoing feature design. What I did
I joined Primer with another senior designer from Everyday Industries to support the design, testing, and implementation of new product features and enhancements to the current platform. Given my experience in platform and information architecture design, this required taking concepts from PRDs to fully functional designs to test within a very short churn period. I also supported the Primer team with user testing and analysis, as well as QA support through the entire build phase. Projects I have been a part of while working with Primer include:
- Re-designing the public landing page navigation
- Designed a new daily progress dashboard for class leaders
- Updated designs for onboarding forms
- Refined UI components and maintained the design system
